I know that by my age I should really be less excited, these are some of my memories of Christmas past. <br /> <br /> <br /><div align="justify">I remember being excited for weeks before the man in the red suit came! My Mum & Dad love Christmas and they always made a big deal of it. My sister and I got (and still get!) a pillowcase with small presents. This pillowcase was left outside our bedroom door and in the morning my mum would come in to wake me up and she would say <em>'he's been'</em> then I would try to wake my sister and we would sit on our parents bedroom floor and open our presents from the pillowcases! We got little things like sweets and chocolate, stationary, socks etc. </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify">When they had all been opened the real excitement kicked in! We had to wait for what seemed like ages for my parents to get dressed so we could go downtairs and open the presents from under the tree! (well they were'nt actually under the tree!) we had 1/2 a sofa each with presents on. These were all kinds of things books, video's, toys, etc. I remember one time I had really wanted a CD player, my sister had bought one for herself and I really wanted one! There was one present marked '<em>open last' </em>(this was usually the 'main' present) It was a small package and I remember thinking that it could not be a CD player, and my weeks of asking for one had been wasted breath! I opened it and to my surprise and delight it was a remote! then my dad brought in the box with the player in! I was so pleased. it actually turned out that the player didn't last long! It began breaking my CD's after about 6 months! </div><div align="justify"> </div><div align="justify"></div><div align="justify">I have many fond memories of Christmas, many are from when my Grandma spent Christmas with us and when all the family got together. At the time when I was young it was all about receiving gifts, but I now realise it is so much more than that. I love giving gifts and seeing peoples responses, I also love the time I spend enjoying myself with my family. I have tried doing one on my website but I could never think of anything to write on it! <br />I have decided to make this blog because I want to write about music that I enjoy and that inspires me. <br />I've recently been finding new music styles to listen to. I enjoy a wide range of music, and after much success listening to bands / artists I've never heard of, I have found and fell in love with the music of John Mayer. He is so unique and his lyrics are beautiful, I have enjoyed every song on his album 'Room For Squares'.
